About me: I have always lived in a world of music and poetry--it's who I am. Blame Bob Dylan: hearing his music when I was six years old, set me on this course. Words, guitar, voice, and melody touch my spirit. To be able to communicate on an emotional level through song is a gift I cherish. Of course, being a singer/songwriter doesn't feed the family. Fortunately, I also have a passion for literature and writing. I've been teaching English to reluctant teenage scholars for years; they bless me and teach me more than I could ever express.
I sing a lot and I always have. Songs fill my heart, and performing is my joy. Writing songs helps me to understand this goofy old world, my raggedy old self, and the beauty that is all around us. I have long believed that music can be used for good or evil; I choose, with the help of the Creator, to use music to spur myself to greater understanding and love.

Creativity and self-expression are gifts that I treasure and am compelled to share. I hope my songs meet you in a place where they resonate. I hope that music will cause us all to reflect on the glory of the Creator and the beauty that exists everywhere we turn.
